HOPE partners with the Boston Children’s Hospital to offer continuing education credits
From our sponsorship with Boston Children’s Hospital Center for Educational Excellence & Innovation, the HOPE National Resource Center now offers Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for course completions on our Virtual Learning Hub. Our self-paced online courses range from a broad introduction to the HOPE framework to sector-specific applications. Each course is worth 2 credits for CMEs or CEUs. At the end of each course, you will receive a certificate noting your completion and credits earned.
HOPE courses offering CMEs and CEUs
Introduction to HOPE
Our introductory course is for anyone interested in learning more about the HOPE framework! This course is a great place to start, from those who want to practice HOPE in their own work or parenting, to those working on implementing the framework throughout their entire organization. Participants will learn about the research behind positive childhood experiences (PCEs), the power of the brain to heal, the Four Building Blocks of HOPE, and what HOPE looks like in practice.
HOPE and Child Welfare
This course was created in collaboration with The Association of Infant Mental Health in Tennessee (AIMHiTN). The content covers the core topics of the HOPE framework through the lens of the child welfare field. This training is intended for professionals who work in the child welfare field. Families and community members who have engaged with the child welfare system are also encouraged to complete this training.
HOPE and Home Visiting
This training is offered through the HOPE National Resource Center in partnership with Centerstone. The training is intended for anyone who works in the field of home visiting or has had a home visitor.
HOPE and Strengthening Families for Systems-Impacted Families
Created in collaboration with the Center for the Study of Social Policy and the National Association for County and City Health Officials, this course is intended for professionals who work with families impacted by the child welfare, juvenile justice, or justice systems. Participants learn about the science behind positive childhood experiences, the overlap between the HOPE and Strengthening Families frameworks, the connection between the Four Building Blocks of HOPE and Five Protective Factors, and what HOPE and Strengthening Families look like in practice.
HOPE and Substance Use Prevention, Intervention and Treatment
This course was developed in partnership with the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), the Centers for Disease Prevention (CDC), and individuals with lived experience with substance use. This training is for anyone who works in the substance use prevention, intervention, and/or treatment space.
