Reviewing literature on Adverse Childhood Experiences and childhood protective factors

This project was a collaboration between the HOPE National Resource Center and the RAND Corporation. Supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Public Health Association (APHA), the project goals were to conduct scoping reviews of the literature for original Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), expanded ACEs (ExACEs), and childhood protective factors (CPFs)/PCEs. These reviews summarized the evidence linking ACEs, ExACEs, and PCEs to a variety of health outcomes and clarified the measures and definitions of these factors.
