Incorporating HOPE during an postpartum depression screening
These simulation videos present two different deliveries of a physician conducting a postpartum depression screening with a patient. One video shows the provider using the HOPE framework when speaking to the patient. The other video presents a similar conversation, but the provider does not use HOPE. The videos are intentionally dramatized to more obviously show the difference when using HOPE.
We recommend watching the “Without HOPE” video before moving on to the “With HOPE” video. As you watch these two videos. take note of the differences you see between the two screenings.
