Incorporating HOPE during an ACEs screening review
These simulation videos present two different deliveries of a physician reviewing the results of an ACEs screening with a parent. One video shows the provider using the HOPE framework when speaking to the parent. The other video presents a similar conversation, but the provider does not use HOPE. The videos are intentionally dramatized to more obviously show the difference when using HOPE.
We recommend watching the “Without HOPE” video before moving on to the “With HOPE” video. As you watch these two videos. take note of the differences you see between the two reviews.
In the videos, the provider is played by Robert Sege, Director of the HOPE National Resource Center. The parent is played by Courtney with her son Henry.
