This resource emphasizes the importance of ensuring that systems-impacted families have access to key experiences and protective factors that promote optimal health and well-being. It aims to help agencies consistently apply approaches focused on promoting access to Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) and the Protective Factors with children, youth, and families. Specifically designed for supervisors, the guide assists in coaching staff to integrate these principles into regular supervision sessions, facilitating discussions and goal-setting around specific families on their caseloads. It can be used independently or integrated into existing agency tools to support strengths-based practices and break intergenerational cycles of systems involvement.
This resource was created in partnership with CSSP’s Strengthening Families and the National Association of County and City Health Officials.
