Incorporating the HOPE framework during a clinical supervision session
These simulation videos present two different versions of a clinical supervision session. One video shows the supervisor using the HOPE framework when speaking to the employee. The other video presents a similar conversation, but the supervisor does not use HOPE. The videos are intentionally dramatized to more obviously show the difference when using HOPE.
We recommend watching the “Without HOPE” video before moving on to the “With HOPE” video. As you watch these two videos. take note of the differences you see between the two screenings.
In the videos, the supervisor is played by Amanda Winn, Director of Training and Technical Assistance. The employee is played by Amie Myrick, Director of Implementation Evaluation.
