Nine steps of evaluating the impact of the HOPE framework

The HOPE Evaluation Toolkit is a practical, flexible resource designed to help you understand and strengthen the impact of your HOPE-informed work.

This is not a course, and it’s not something you need to complete in one sitting.
Instead, it offers a set of connected steps you can use in any order, so you can start where it makes the most sense for your work.

The toolkit includes an introduction to evaluation using a quality improvement (QI) approach. Then, it outlines nine steps:

  1. Assess readiness
  2. Review your data (before collecting more)
  3. Choose an implementation project
  4. Develop a clear Aim Statement
  5. Select measurable data sources
  6. Build an implementation plan
  7. Plan for data collection
  8. Test and adapt using Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles
  9. Use and share what you’re learning

Each section is designed to stand on its own while connecting to a larger process of learning and improvement.
