Research shows that positive childhood experiences (PCEs) help children grow into healthy, resilient adults. The HOPE National Resource Center developed the strengths-based HOPE framework to help professionals promote PCEs and better support children and families. The center of the HOPE framework is the Four Building Blocks of HOPE, the key types of positive childhood experiences that all children need to thrive.
The HOPE National Resource Center offers trainings, tools, and research to help professionals promote PCEs through the HOPE framework. Our HOPE Train the Facilitator Certification is designed for those working directly with children and families, from early childhood and education to child welfare, juvenile justice, public health, and healthcare. By using the HOPE framework, you help build a world where every child’s strengths are seen, supported, and celebrated.

Start with our Introduction to HOPE online course
Our interactive Introduction to HOPE online course walks you through the research behind PCEs, the power of the brain to heal, the Four Building Blocks of HOPE, and what the HOPE framework looks like in practice.
Sign up for our Train the Facilitator Certification program
Once you understand the basics of the HOPE framework, you can choose to become a HOPE Train the Facilitator. In this training, you will develop your own version of the Introduction of HOPE workshop, tailored to your community.

The HOPE team regularly releases and updates free resources including downloadable handouts and videos simulating HOPE in action. We encourage you to share our resources with your community.
