Trevor Akerley

(he/him/his)

Administrative Assistant
HOPE National Resource Center

Biography

Trevor Akerley serves as the Administrative Assistant for the HOPE National Resource Center and Center for Community Engaged Medicine at Tufts Medical Center. Trevor was raised in the state of Maine, specifically in Lewiston/Auburn (LA) and Bar Harbor. He lived in San Francisco for a while, where he worked for the Development Department at Golden Gate University. After Development merged with Mar/Com, he returned to New England to reconnect with family and old friends. Trevor then began working for Manulife Asset Management, which owns John Hancock Life Insurance. Since then, he has worked with startups, churches, manufacturing firms, Jewish foundations, and music schools before arriving at Tufts Medical Center. His career interests have taken him from biology to accounting and finance, as well as computer operations and information technology, all wrapped up in business management. He loves the great outdoors, gardening, hiking, biking, running, and tennis—before injuring his shoulder. Trevor adores his family and the good friends he has made from east to west and back again. He looks forward to this chapter of his life at Tufts. And, as opportunities arise, he looks forward to more adventures and traveling throughout Europe! Whatever comes his way, Trevor likes to think he faces it with a smile and wishes only the best for everyone.
