This activity is intended for Physicians, Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers and more delivering primary care to adolescents and their families.

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Understand of the importance of PCEs as being just as critical to understand as ACEs 
  • Understand how critical it is for program success to have community input in the design and evaluation component 
  • Understand the importance of focusing on what is going well for families

Continuing Nursing Education

Continuing Psychologist Education

Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.

Continuing Social Work Education

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Postgraduate Institute for Medicine maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 9 continuing education credits.

Interprofessional Continuing Education

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Postgraduate Institute for Medicine maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 9 continuing education credits.

  2. Login or Create a New Account (will take less than 1 minute)
    • If you receive a message when creating a new account that “the email you entered is already in use”, please click the forgot my username or password link to have your Username and Password sent to you via email
    • After logging in, you may be asked to verify/update your information; after doing so, click Save at the bottom of the page
  3. Type in the code given to you at the event at the top of the page, “Find Post-Test/Evaluation by Course”, and click enter
  4. Click on the activity title when it appears
  5. Choose the type of credit you desire
  6. (If applicable) Complete the Post-test with a passing score of 75% or better
  7. Complete the online Evaluation
  8. Receive an immediate CE Certificate to download and/or print for your files
